International Shipping Methods

Shipping Methods

The shipment method for your household goods will depend on a combination of factors, including the volume of the shipment, the delivery spread that you require and your budget.

The various options that are available include:

Groupage - Filling a container with shipments that are less than container load on their own. Groupage shipments are economical but are not always practical and may take a long time to reach destination.

Less than Container Load (LCL) - Where your shipment does not fill a complete shipping container, several shipments can crated in wooden shipping crates and shipped together.

Full Container Load (FCL) or exclusive use - A container carrying your belongings exclusively, with specified move dates as agreed with your mover. Containers are either 20 foot or 40 foot in size. For full container shipments, the container will normally be loaded directly at residence.

Air Freight - Smaller shipments may be shipped by air freight, which results in a faster delivery of goods than ocean shipments, but is more costly.
